Alf (as in Prince Alfons of Panama) is an incredibly athletic gelding with fantastic breeding for sport! The question has been asked, “is he really a Thoroughbred?” He is a naturally well balanced horse with a canter that you could ride all day and a very big trot that even I can sit! Alf is bold and brave schooling XC and absolutely LOVES to jump! He has been restarted w/t/c and has been jumping 2’6” in the ring and XC. He has a great work ethic and tries very hard. With full history from his breeder/owner/trainer he has no previous injuries and no physical limitations.

Alf is a very special horse who is looking for HIS unicorn. He has unfortunately become the back burner horse when he does best in consistent work. Alf came to us very untrusting on the ground and under saddle but through ground work and thoughtful training has come a very long way in learning what to do when he feels tension. He will succeed with an experienced, well educated, and patient partner. Alf is uncomplicated to ride but he does has a very big jump and on a random, yet very rare occasion, has shown us an equally impressive buck. He is quite intelligent and a quick learner and I believe the buck and the tension with only continue to fade away as he continues to mature along with proper training. 

Alf has competed in one schooling dressage show in which he handled himself well though he was impressed by the atmosphere. He loads and ships well, has successfully tied to the trailer and has also stood alone while another horse was removed from trailer. 

Alf is a blast to ride and he has been a serious consideration as a second horse for myself. While my current limitations will not allow for that, Alf certainly deserves the opportunity for someone to bring him to his full potential and the sky is the limit. He’s the type of horse that good stories are made of.
