Our Emerald Forest
Our Emerald Forest is a four-time winner on the track with earning of $185,500. He raced 32 times, including one sanctioned start over hurdles! He was retired by owner Joseph Besecker and racing trainer Joe Sharp, after losing interest in racing. He left the racing world completely sound and has no known injuries. Forest was carefully selected from the racetrack by Rosie because of his intelligence, athleticism, and natural balance. After 60 days of down time, he has been restarted for a career in eventing. Forest is very quiet and respectful on the ground and has great barn manners, without any vices. He is enthusiastic and intrigued by new things that he is introduced to. In his first cross country schooling, it was uncanny how well he jumped ditches and banks in and out of the water as if he had been doing it his whole life. On the flat, his big movements demonstrate his great potential for Dressage! He has been described as “extraordinary” by Olympic Silver Medalist in Eventing, Dorothy Crowell. He has experience competing at the Beginner Novice level of Horse Trials and other show experience. Forest is an affectionate old soul with a young physique. He will thrive on a connection with his own person who will work with him in a partnership to achieve big things.
